This photography journey begins in the historic streets of Mardin, extending to the silver workshops of Midyat, passing through ancient cities, and into the embracing beauty of nature. Throughout this three-day journey, you’ll have the opportunity to combine the history of the Middle East with the tranquility of modern times.

This trip is available for individuals or groups between May, September, and October.

Historical Riches:

Throughout history, Mardin has hosted various civilizations, creating the historical fabric that makes the region unique. Lose yourself in these historic streets with your camera and discover important historical structures such as Mardin Castle and Zinciriye Madrasa.

Traditional Handicrafts:

Midyat’s silver workshops are where traditional handicrafts meet the modern world. This journey offers an opportunity to see and photograph the magnificent silverwork created by the masters in these workshops.

The Deyrulzafaran Monastery, built on a former sun temple and once the Patriarchal center of the world’s Syriacs…

Rock tombs, cisterns, and a dungeon in the ancient city of Dara/Anastasiopolis, one of the most important settlements in Mesopotamia in ancient times and a military garrison on the Silk Road during the Eastern Roman period…

The Deyrulumur (Mor Gabriel) Monastery, the Metropolitan Center of the Turabdin region…

Midyat‘s houses, bazaars, and Syriac and Yazidi villages…

Mardin Museum, Cumhuriyet Square, Abbaralar, the Old Independence Court, the Bay Window House, the Ulucami, the Historical Site, the Zinciriye Madrasa, and the Kasımiye Madrasa…
