Prepare for an unforgettable photography journey in the foothills of the Himalayas!
This trip will be specially prepared for individuals or groups in April – May and September – October – November.
Get ready for an unforgettable photographic journey amidst temples, rituals, 8,000-meter peaks, and mountain villages! The Himalayan Light: Nepal Photo Journey is designed for amateur and professional photographers seeking to create stunning visual memories. Over my 35-year professional photography career, I have implemented photography projects, provided training, and led countless participants on unforgettable journeys across the globe. To date, I have provided training, workshops, and guidance to thousands of photography volunteers. Nepal holds a very special place in my heart among all these experiences. This photo journey, which I will be organizing for the 27th time in April 2026, offers the opportunity to share not only Nepal’s unique nature and cultural richness, but also the knowledge I have accumulated over the years.

Why Nepal?
Nepal; Nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas, it’s a true treasure trove for photographers, both for its natural beauty and culture. The ancient cities of the Kathmandu Valley, temples listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites, traditional handicrafts, vibrant festivals, and, of course, daily life in mountain villages offer a unique visual story at every turn. October is one of the most ideal times to visit Nepal. The post-monsoon weather is clear and crisp, and the light is perfect for photography throughout the day.
Atmosphere
Nepal boasts a rich and diverse culture. Temples, pagodas, old cities, and local festivals offer wonderful opportunities to document traditional life up close. The Nepalese people are warm and welcoming. You can interact with the locals, observe their lifestyle, and take portraits. A Nepal photography trip includes nature walks, visits to monasteries, local markets, and many other experiences. These experiences offer opportunities for capturing diverse types of photographs. Nepal’s mystical atmosphere, cultural depth, and natural beauty create a journey filled with memories and photographs you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

Program Scope
On this journey, we will explore Nepal’s most iconic and photographic destinations, including Kathmandu, Patan, Baktapur, Dhulikel, and Nagarkot. From the narrow streets of Kathmandu to the stone-adorned courtyards of Patan, from the timeless atmosphere of Baktapur to the sunrise views of Nagarkot stretching to the Himalayas, we will explore a wide range of themes. Each day, we will explore a different shooting concept: We will provide opportunities to practice in a variety of areas, including architectural details, portraits, everyday scenes, landscapes, and night shots.

Our Photography Consultant…
We know that when you plan to travel to India, one of the most visited and talked-about countries by both travelers and photographers, you will hear a wealth of stories, memories, and advice. We will be taking this journey with Cenk GENÇDİŞ, who has previously organized nearly a hundred photography trips to countries such as Iran, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Tibet, Syria, Cuba, Mexico, Guatemala, Ethiopia, Mongolia, and Japan.
From the moment you register for your trip, Cenk GENÇDİŞ will prepare you for this journey with informative emails and meetings. You’ll receive detailed emails detailing everything from daily itineraries and clothing to what you should pack, what you’ll eat there, and the subjects you’ll take for your photos. Visiting Nepal for the 27th time is no coincidence. This country, which reveals a different face each time, has taught me a great deal about both photography and life. On this journey, I want to share not only technical knowledge but also the perspective I’ve gained about this region. Together, we’ll experience that photography isn’t just about correct exposure and composition; it’s also about observation, patience, and conveying emotion. Our trips are road trips. They’re not mechanical programs where the group of participants is dragged from place to place by a guide. The itinerary follows a predetermined route, visiting cities and historical sites. Unlike tourist trips, the journey itself, the experience of being on the road, is as important as the destination itself. It’s essential to witness the culture of the destination firsthand and to become involved in daily life.
